Job Summary:

The Human Resources Director is an Executive position that guides and manages the overall provision of Human Resources services, policies and programs for the bank, including overseeing the recruitment process, designing company policies, setting objectives for the HR team, helping to shape our brand strategy, strengthening management and employee relations, and developing a cohesive department that will be the strategic and structural entity in support of the bank.

Responsibilities:

Set objectives for the HR team and track progress;

Design and implement company policies that promote a healthy work environment;

Develop, monitor and implement compensation and benefits plans;

Support and suggest improvements to the talent acquisition process;

Discuss employees’ career development paths with managers and develop plan for going forward;

Ensure the preparation of and monitor HR metrics (e.g. turnover rates and cost-per-hire);

Develop and review departmental budgets;

Ensure the organization of employee educational and development programs;

Ensure that HR staff addresses employees’ requests and grievances in a timely and effective manner;

Maintain HR procedures that comply with labor regulations;

Ensure that the senior management team is kept abreast of any issues involving employee issues, policy / procedure deficiencies and anything that may jeopardize the achievement of company goals;

Protect the interests of employees, the management team and the bank, in accordance with company HR policies and governmental laws and regulations;

Formulate and recommend HR policies and objectives for the company in connection with employee relations;

Partner with management to communicate HR policies, procedures, programs and related laws;

Conduct investigations of employee complaints or concerns;

Monitor and advise managers and supervisors in effective and compliant discipline;

Establish and monitor the implementation of a performance improvement process with non-performing employees;

Reviews, guides and approve management recommendations for employment terminations;

Lead the implementation of bank safety and health programs and monitor the tracking of OSHA-required data;

Establish bank wage and salary structure, pay policies and oversee variable pay systems, including bonuses and raises;

Requirements:

Proven previous experience as a Senior HR Manager, or similar role;

Hands-on experience with HR management software, preferably with ADP WorkforceNow;

Solid understanding of labor legislation and general knowledge of various employment laws and practices;

Excellent oral and written communication skills;

Exemplary leadership skills;

Demonstrated ability to serve as a successful participant on the executive management team that provides company leadership and direction;

Ability to foster healthy relations with employees, management and Board of Directors;

Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills;

Exemplary organizational and time-management skills;

Proficient computer skills including the Microsoft Office suite of products and HR-related software;

B.Sc. Degree in HR Management, or related discipline.
