Job Summary:

Reporting to the CEO, the Compliance / BSA Manager is a management / supervisory position responsible for BSA and general compliance programs offered by SCCCU, to safeguard and ensure SCCCU is in full regulatory conformity with all state, federal and local laws.

Responsibilities:

Oversee SCCCU’s BSA and general compliance programs, in full regulatory compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Anti-Money Laundering (ALM) Compliance Program and in accordance with its policies and applicable laws;

Supervise BSA and general compliance staff, while ensuring the team meets goals and participates in SCCCU’s related compliance, training and activities;

Manage BSA compliance program, with particular focus on SCCCU’s high-risk account holders;

Monitor the implementation of action plans for the risk and compliance programs; organize appropriate risk and compliance management reporting internally and externally;

Stay abreast of and analyze developing industry and compliance trends, scams, schemes and changes to laws and regulations pertaining to BSA/AML;

Monitor Department of Justice activities throughout California;

Stay current and possess a thorough understanding of state / federal laws and regulations related to Bank Secrecy and Anti Money Laundering;

Effectively communicate / report changes, or updates regarding any local, state, or federal regulatory initiatives that may affect SCCCU, in an effort to safeguard against potential losses, or to mitigate risk;

Provide oversight and maintenance of SCCCU’s BSA software (Verafin).

Requirements:

Associates Degree required; Bachelor’s Decree preferred;

BSA certification, required;

At least 3 years of relevant, progressive experience in a BSA compliance role within a financial institution, which should include BSA and general compliance, security, fraud and vendor management;

Ability to obtain OFAC certification within 1 year from date of hire;

Possess strong analytical, investigative, interpersonal, communication and member services skills;

Proficient computer skills, including the Microsoft Office suite of products and related compliance software expertise;

Ability to work effectively individually and within a team; detail-oriented and flexible in an ever-changing environment;

Exemplary oral and written communication skills.

Compensation:

$70K - $85K base salary; company-wide bonus scheme; company subsidized health benefits (medical, dental, vision); company-sponsored life insurance, loan discounts (must be a member) paid vacation, sick time and public holidays; 401k plan.

8:30AM – 5:15PM Monday - Friday
