Aulon Arch is a Sacramento-based holding company that invests in private and public businesses, as well as real estate.
Reporting to the CEO and the Operations Manager, the Controller is responsible for oversight and management of the accounting department and all related functions, in an effort to provide complete transparency to the management team, shareholders and investment partners in making solid financial decisions regarding the company.
Duties / Responsibilities:
Provide oversight and management, training and mentoring of the accounting staff and hire additional staff as needed;
Oversee the operational functions of the corporate accounting department to ensure accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports, internal and external monthly financial statements, annual audits and annual budgets;
Prepare financial statements for the company;
Prepare financial statement packages / presentations for diverse groups and companies on a monthly basis;
Possess proficiency in securities options, partnership and carried interest accounting, together with tax Issues involving control groups;
Develop, manage and maintain internal controls that verify the integrity of all systems, processes, procedures and data;
Ability to work efficiently with external CPAs and auditors in directing and managing their work as it relates to the company;
Ability to maintain the bookkeeping component of the role on a daily basis, as this is crucial to the operation of the business;
Oversee disbursement activities to ensure accurate and timely processing of AP, purchase orders, petty cash management, core employee expense reports, cash control, core payroll processing and total corporate payroll tax compliance;
Oversee monthly, quarterly and year-end federal and state tax reports;
Oversee corporate income tax compliance is adhered to, while ensuring accurate and timely completion of all corporate income tax returns are completed in a timely and accurate manner;
Oversee corporate audits with the goal of preserving the recognition of assets according to public company GAAP standards;
Participate in various special projects, as assigned by the CEO and generate subsequent requisite reports thereof;
Proficiency in the Microsoft suite of products and all related office equipment functions and operations;
Proficiency in QuickBooks 2016;
Ability to multi-task efficiently, with exceptional time-management skills;
Exemplary oral and written communication skills.
Required Education / Experience:
At least 10 years of managerial accounting experience;
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance;
CPA certification, preferred;
Strong understanding of GAAP principles.
Flexible working schedule, i.e., (8:00AM - 4:00PM, or a variation thereof).

$125K - $150K depending upon experience, for this full-time exempt position.
