Job Summary:

The Journeyman Heavy Equipment Operator will be proficient in the operation of backhoes, loaders, excavators and small grading tractors.

Duties / Responsibilities:

Operate Backhoes, loaders, excavators and small grading tractors, in compliance with the company’s operating safety policies and procedures, while abiding by all local, state and federal regulations;

Load and unload equipment from vehicles and trailers;

Ensure company equipment and materials are kept clean, maintained properly and stored in a safe manner;

Complete required paperwork, reporting and other documentation in a timely fashion.

Qualifications:

Certificate holder and graduate from a state or federally-approved heavy equipment operation apprenticeship program;

High School Diploma, or equivalent

At least 4 years’ experience working with heavy equipment;

Holder of valid Commercial Driver’s License; clean driving record;

Ability to work efficiently individually, as well as within a team;

Astute attention to detail and situational awareness;

Strong work ethic and physical ability to lift 50+ pounds.

Working Hours

7:00AM - 3:30PM Monday - Friday

Compensation:

Base hourly rate: $48.19; Health: $3.00 (paid directly for premiums); Pension: $23.04 per hour (paid into pension fund or to employee in cash).
