Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Controller and in cooperation with all divisions of the company, the Bookkeeper is responsible for engagement within the company’s accounting-related matters. 


Prepare, examine, analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards; 

Review accounts for discrepancies and reconcile differences;

Prepare adjusting journal entries; 

Prepare quarter-end process and consolidate financial statements;

Establish tables of accounts and assign entries to proper accounts; 

Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments and obligations to project future revenues and expenses or to provide advice; 

Report to management regarding the finances of company; 

Develop, implement, modify and document record keeping and accounting systems, making use of current computer technology;

Prepare forms and manuals for accounting department personnel direct work activities; 

Assist Controller with year-end financial review, workers compensation audits and other state filings;

Prepare and assist in quarterly state and federal tax forms; 

Assist in reviewing daily accounts payable, deposits and cash position; 

Make deposits and post cash receipts when needed;

Assist in managing QuickBooks database;

Assist in processing payroll for employees and payment of independent contractors when needed;

Adhere to the company’s financial policies and procedures;

Recommend and implement process improvements;

Develop special reports and ad-hoc analyses, as needed.


Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, preferred; or 2-4 years’ experience in accounting; 

General knowledge of US GAAP; 

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products, particularly Word and Excel; 

Proficiency in GL, AP, AR, payroll reporting and other related reporting functions;

Proficient attention to detail, accuracy, astute time management skills and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, while meeting deadlines in a timely manner;

Bilingual (English/Spanish) speaker a plus, but not required.

Working Hours:

8:00AM – 5:00PM Monday through Friday, with 1 hour for lunch.


Competitive hourly pay rate with benefits.
